Collection: Cleanup Collection
In baseball, a cleanup hitter is the fourth hitter in the lineup. They are typically the players with the most power on the team & their most important job is to bring runs in.
With this collection, I have collaborated with KC Mack of Mack Provisions, a Port Angeles, WA craftsman who repurposes vintage baseball gloves to make everyday leather goods like wallets. With the leftover leather tidbits that will not yield a wallet, I then create a product that furthers the definition of repurposing and reusing.
I am certainly not the first person to handle the leather on your new pair of earrings. The journey begins with the original manufacturer, then to the ball player. After a few decades in the attic, and a wallet has been crafted, the next destination for the leather is my workbench This is how the Cleanup Collection circled the bases.
It’s final destination is YOU!
In June 2020, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. The proceeds of this collection will help pay for medical bills.
